Wunderfan + Birmingham Bowl
Wunderfan can help Birmingham roll out the red carpet to fans attending the Birmingham Bowl by opening up earning opportunities to the entire city as well as the event itself. Our app increases fan engagement and creates rewarding touchpoints with fans attending and watching the event. We can also add value for any Birmingham Bowl sponsors by featuring their brand and offers in our rewards and ad placements.
Partnership Overview
Birmingham Bowl Shop

We can add a custom Birmingham Bowl Shop to house rewards, contests and products from sponsors and local businesses all in one place. This becomes the go to place for fans attending the Birmingham Bowl to access offers to enhance their time in Birmingham.

To make this a worthwhile experience for fans, we would want help getting Birmingham Bowl sponsors to add quality offers in the shop. Additionally we would want help activating local businesses and having them put offers in the shop, essentially making this the “key to the city” for fans in town for the game.
Attend-to-Earn

We’ll make Protective Stadium a 2X earning zone during the game, meaning fans who use our Attend-to-Earn feature are earning double points (or whatever multiplier we want). We can also map out any surrounding fanfare locations as earning zones, incentivizing fans to attend all the festivities. This can even be extended to Birmingham establishments like shops, restaurants and tourist attractions to help guide fans through the city.

We would ask that “Attend-to-Earn with Wunderfan” is promoted through event and sponsor channels—social, email, website, signage at the venue and hotels, video boards, PA announcements, ticket confirmation communications, etc.—to help reach enough fans to maximize the impact.
Watch-to-Earn

While this doesn’t directly impact fans coming into Birmingham for the game, it does give us an opportunity to extend touchpoints to fans who are watching the game from anywhere and promote Birmingham even further. When Wunderfan users submit a Watch-to-Earn of the Birmingham Bowl, we can serve up links to promotional info about visiting Birmingham, make it a 2X earning game and even make the submission an entry to win a trip to Birmingham or other relevant prize.

We would want to drive our users to a destination page dedicated to promoting Birmingham as a destination to visit. This can be an existing tourism page or something created specifically for this promotion. This could also house information about entering to win a Birmingham experience, and talk about how Wunderfan is enhancing the fan experience for bowl attendees.
Social Collabs

Wunderfan has over 100K social followers (and rapidly growing) across all channels and our content is created by sports fan influencer Henry Marken. This gives ample opportunity to promote the Birmingham Bowl and it’s sponsors to our followers, both in driving attendees to the city for the game and showing off the experience fans have while in town.

We’re open to any social/content collaboration with the Birmingham Bowl, city of Birmingham and any bowl game sponsors. We can even have Henry attend the game and would want to give him exclusive access to the city and the game for creating content.
Team Activations

When the teams are announced for the Birmingham Bowl, Wunderfan can become another channel for promoting the game and activating the two fanbases. This can include in-app contests and promotions to fans looking to attend, Wunderfan earning competitions among each schools fans and social collabs with each school and their fans, players and coaches.

We would need to leverage the Birmingham Bowl’s relationship with the participating schools to coordinate opportunities to collaborate and cross-promote with them to their fans.

Wunderfan is headquartered in Birmingham and founded by Birmingham natives. We have a vested interest in Birmingham on a personal level, making this a perfect partnership that goes beyond just a transactional relationship. We are involved with other Birmingham events like Sloss Tech and Ballin in Boutwell, and are always looking to support and elevate our home town.
Any win for Birmingham is a win for us and any win for Wunderfan is a win for Birmingham. We’re in this together!
