Wunderfan + Locked On

This partnership would add unique value for Locked On listeners as well as Wunderfan users, creating a true win/win scenario for us growing our audiences together. Wunderfan is a rewards app for all sports fans, allowing users to earn points for engaging with sports and sports content every single day. Those points can then be redeemed for rewards and entries into contests through our in-app shop.

Wunderfan users (60,000+ and growing fast) earn points by attending live games, watching live sports on TV, betting points on pick’ems, or consuming sports content within our app’s newsfeed. With Locked On offering daily podcasts for 200+ teams across multiple leagues, there is a unique opportunity for us to create a new way for our users to earn points for listening to podcasts and ensure we have enough daily content to make it a good user experience.

This would expose Locked On podcasts to our audience of highly engaged sports fans and incentivize them to listen to earn points, essentially making Wunderfan the loyalty app solution for Locked On listeners. There are also opportunities to promote Locked On Podcasts through native ads in our app.

How Fans Earn Rewards

Wunderfan users earn in-app currency called “wunder” for tracking daily fan engagement with sports. The wunder each user earns is stored in their wallet and can be used in our shop to redeem offers from partner retailers or to enter contests for chances to win prizes.

Partnership Details

NEW Listen-to-Earn

The key to this partnership is making Wunderfan the official and exclusive way to earn rewards just for listening to any Locked On podcast. We would allow our users to stream your podcasts through our app and earn points for time spent listening.

We would ask that each Locked On podcast promotes Wunderfan as the official way to earn rewards, simply by listening.

Attend-to-Earn Sponsor

We’ll add team specific podcasts as the Attend-to-Earn (A2E) sponsor for select venues. For example, Locked On Auburn could be the official sponsor of A2E at Jordan-Hare Stadium. This will be shown to anyone who activates our A2E feature while at a live game and can be done for any venue across all teams covered by Locked On podcasts. These have logo placement for awareness and CTA buttons that can link out to each team podcast page.

Watch-to-Earn Ads

We can also serve ads triggered by user actions in our app, like after a watch-to-earn photo is submitted. This would allow us to promote team specific Locked On podcasts based on the teams in the games being watched, or even promote crossover episodes for specific matchups.

Sponsor Shops

The lifeblood of our app is keeping ample rewards in the shop(s) with a good variety of offers from well known brands. We can create a shop specifically for Locked On sponsor brands and populate it with vouchers and offers from those brands, giving them an opportunity to extend their reach into our audience and generate measurable results and gain valuable customer insights.

Locked On Leaderboards

Because we are a points based system, we’ve created the Wunderfan League with leaderboards and competitions among our users. We would be able to add Locked On Leaderboards, creating competitions among your team podcasts to see which shows and fanbases generate the most listen-to-earn points.

Data Share

We can provide you with information about which podcasts are getting the most listens and longest duration of listens. We can also share insights about what Locked On listeners like what games they are attending and watching as well as what brands they are redeeming most in our shops.

Social Collabs & Guest Appearances

Wunderfan has over 100K social followers across all channels and content created by sports fan influencer Henry Marken, creating ample opportunity to promote Locked On podcasts to our followers.

We’d like to have Henry as a frequent guest on Locked On podcasts based on relevance to teams and topics of the day in sports.

Promote Wunderfan

We’d ask to be the “Official Rewards Partner” of the Locked On Podcast Network and create a short 10-15 second read for each host to add to their show open.

Crossover Content

We want to schedule regular appearances for our social influencer, Henry Marken, to appear on various Locked On podcasts to talk sports and Wunderfan.

Co-Marketing

We want to meet with the Locked On sales and marketing team to discuss possible co-marketing packages with added value to sponsors across our properties.
